Our services primarily serve South Central Iowa and are free because of partnerships with and support from many organizations and individuals that participate by donating in our annual Friends Campaign.

At WeLIFT, we’re here to help you move forward - wherever you are starting. Whether you’re looking for work, navigating a life transition, rebuilding after a setback, or simply trying to create more stability for yourself or your family, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
We offer free, personalized support designed to help you build confidence, overcome barriers, and take practical steps toward greater independence. That may include help with employment, resumes and interviews, financial education, mentoring, access to technology, connections to local resources, and support navigating the challenges that can make moving forward feel difficult.

WeLIFT works one-on-one with individuals as they take their next step toward employment, stability, and independence. From career exploration and job readiness to resumes, interviews, technology access, mentoring, and connections to community resources, we provide practical support tailored to each person’s goals.
Compassion Fund
WeLIFT’s Compassion Fund provides flexible financial support to help individuals overcome immediate barriers and keep moving forward. From transportation and work-related needs to training, basic necessities, and other critical expenses, the fund helps bridge the gap when one obstacle could otherwise derail progress.
Events & Programs
WeLIFT brings people together through events and programs designed to build skills, increase awareness, strengthen connections, and create opportunity. From workshops and community conversations to simulations, trainings, and special events, WeLIFT helps people learn, connect, and move forward.
